Check this first
An STD can only be tested after a certain period of time following the sexual contact.
Determine for yourself how long ago the unprotected contact was. That way you know when we can test reliably.
10 days after contact for chlamydia en gonorrhea
3 weeks after contact for trichomonas
8 weeks after contact for syphilis, hepatitis & HIV
The rapid test for HIV can be done after 14 days
What you should bring
To do a SOA test for men we need urine. You can bring your own first ‘morning urine’ in a clean container. This doesn’t need to be more than about 50ml. Its important to get the first bit of urine.
If you don’t bring urine with you, its important that you have not urinated 3 hours before the consult.
(For women, the SOA test is done via a self-swab. There is no urine needed.)
You can pay by debit card or cash.
Convenient and discreet
There is a large free car park in front of the sports center where the SOA clinic is located.
At the reception near the entrance you can say you have an appointment at the medical center. Then you go upstairs to the waiting room which is out of sight for visitors to the sports center. The doctor will collect you from the waiting room.
Our appointment system sends a confirmation mail. If prefered, you can avoid this by calling us to make an appointment.
